At Michaels Catering, we can develop a menu specific to your needs based on the number of guests, your anticipated budget and other variables such as location and season.

Take a look at some of these examples, from the very grand for a formal wedding to the casual and informal.

An Extravagant Wedding
This 325 person wedding was so much fun to put together. It was at the bride’s family’s wonderful home. Notice how the menu various with time and place.
 

After-Lecture Reception
We do many receptions for business groups, schools and universities following business meetings and education lectures. We can also put together food for day long events such as breakfast and lunch meetings.

This was for 125 scholars at a Tulane after lecture reception.

 

Sit-down Dinner
This was a seated dinner for a group of scholars at a large uptown mansion. The hosts greeted the guests as they came in and hors d’oeuvres were passed while guest could get mixed drinks, beer, wine and soft drinks at a tended bar. Following the reception the guests sat down at several tables and had two courses followed by coffee and dessert.
 

Casual Bar-B-Q
This is a 150 person Bar-b-q we do yearly for a local hospital.
 

Outdoor German Bar-B-Q "Polterabend"

This is a unique variation on the Bar-b-q that the hosts requested for the wedding of their daughter. The bride’s parents wanted to do something in the tradition of the mother of the bride’s family, so we worked with them to put together "Polterabend" (a casual outdoor BBQ). They tented their back yard and guests could socialize out on the patio, in the yard or inside the house. Needless to say there was plenty of German beer and revelry.

Multi-station Gathering for a Large Convention
1400 California teachers gathered at Mardi Gras World to get a sampling of New Orleans cuisine and culture. They were treated to a wide variety of foods at stations decorated in a Mardi Gras theme as jazz bands played up throughout the halls of Mardi Gras World.
